Christa picked up a pair of scissors at 8 years old and headed straight for her Barbie doll collection. After giving each doll their own unique haircut, she turned her attention to her brothers’ heads and began her career as a self-taught stylist. Many family haircuts later, Christa received formal training at the now defunct Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica. After graduation, she pointed her Volkswagen north and headed to San Francisco where she honed her cutting skills at notable salons such as Architects & Heroes and DiPietro Todd.
