Ashley S. is the absolute best. I’ve been getting Brazilian Blowouts done for 12 years now and since moving to Virginia it has been really hit or miss with stylists I have gone to. The search is over- I found my hair stylist and my salon and I’m never looking back. She listened to my concerns, did everything I asked and more. She is a true artist and such an amazing human all in one package. I felt so heard while I was there and felt so great when I left. Honestly words cannot express how amazing she is. Thank you a million times over!

Also, a huge shoutout to Haley. She assisted me when I first called to make an appointment. Listened to what I really needed and paired me up with Ashley. Haley was also there when I arrived today and I felt so welcomed the second I walked in. Her personality was so authentically wonderful and started the whole experience off with an amazing start.

Kinsie is an exceptionally skilled colorist, especially when it comes to gray blending! She has a rare ability to work with natural gray rather than trying to cover it up, creating results that look intentional and polished.

From the beginning, she approached my color transformation with confidence, precision, and deep technical knowledge. She was incredibly patient and took her time reviewing photos with me, setting expectations, and listening carefully to what I wanted (and didn’t want!). I have long, thick-ish hair, and her attention to detail and desire for perfection were outstanding. When fine-tuning was needed, she approached it thoughtfully and scientifically, clearly understanding hair chemistry and tone at a high level. It was amazing to see her at work – she has so much passion for what she does!

Beyond her technical expertise, Kinsie is also an incredibly kind human. I came to her during a difficult personal moment, and she made me feel genuinely cared for while never losing focus on delivering a perfect result. I left with hair I absolutely love and complete trust in her and her work. She sent me home feeling beautiful and with all the right products to care for my hair.

I saw Leilani for a cut and Katherine for a root blend and vivid color reverse balayage. My experience was incredible. The day I booked, someone from the salon reached out with some clarifying questions as to what I was looking for specifically so she could make sure I was paired with the best stylists possible. They had my inspiration pictures all ready when I got there. At one point I got super cold and Katherine noticed and found a blanket for me while she washed my hair. Even after I was out of Leilani’s chair, she kept helping with my services to make things go faster. I don’t have enough good things to say about Prism, from booking to the services and the kindness I experienced throughout the appointment. It was a safe and welcoming space and I will be seeking hair services from them exclusively going forward.

i've been going to Syd for over a year now for cuts and color, and i cannot recommend them enough. she really takes what you say into consideration and gives honest but also kind feedback about how your hair will look/feel after it's been lived in. besides being easy to chat and get along with, they are professional and very good at their job. i'm moving to dc next month, but i refuse to change stylists and i WILL be driving the 2 hours to see her.

FOR MY CURLY GIRLS,...
Prism hair SOUTH (because there are 2) has TWO stylists who are trained to cut curly hair!! I chose Karen, and she did not disappoint! She got me right for a couple events and a photoshoot I was preparing for, and I have gotten compliment after compliment ever since. They also have at least one stylist who styles wigs, which is not that easy to find. The atmosphere is top notch - Everyone is very friendly and welcoming - and prices are fair and upfront! I will be returning and referring others! Plus, it's so conveniently located it's a no-brainer. Be aware that for parking you need only walk inside when you arrive and they will give you a pass to park in the parking lot in front of Chipotle.
